It is a cloudy day for the game with 0% chance of sun. The goal keeper is wearing a legal baseball cap on his head... but backwards. Why? Because it is cool! Your actions? The book doesnt specify conditions why a hat may be worn nor the manner in which it is worn. Watch out for the "spirit of the rule" theory. "There is no such thing as a stupid question...only stupid people."

The coach is 100% wrong. Tell the coach politely that the goalkeeper can wear the hat even if he hadn't worn it previously in the game. I take my hat off to all the referees who got this right :-) |

Depends if it is a Red Sox or a Yankees hat. |

The sun is setting and will clearly be a major nuisance for the Goal-keeper on the East end of the field in the second half. As the teams take the field for the second half, one of the coaches points out to you that his opponent's keeper is wearing a ball-cap (standard construction; fabric covered cardboard brim). The coach tells you that it is illegal and that his keeper did not wear one in the first half. Your actions? |
