This applies anywhere but it is currently specific to the
Lyman boys varsity, so the officials who have their East Lyme and Windham Tech games the next two days be aware...

Lyman has a very long throw-in specialist.
He hovers near the edge of the team area, near the scorer's table,
waiting to sub in at an opportune time in their attacking third.

If he or any player has not already checked in PRIOR to the stoppage(the ball going out of touch for a throw-in),
then he CANNOT ENTER THE GAME AS A SUB AT THAT TIME.

In every game with any teams, give instructions to the scorer's table for substitutions. If there is no scorer, it is the responsibility of the official whether subs have reported to the center line in time.

If a player has not reported in time, simply tell the player that he cannot come in until the next legal substitution opportunity.

Also, if a player has reported to come in as a sub, and you blow the whistle for subs but the coach changes his mind, the player still has to come in. This is not allowed.
