ECC TOURNAMENT OVERTIME AND PK PROCEDURES ****Regular season ECC OT rules apply**** 2) In the case of a tie game at the conclusion of regulation, two 10-minute SUDDEN VICTORY overtime periods will be played. If the game is still tied at the conclusion of the two overtime periods, penalty kicks will be used to determine the winner of the game. The format for the penalty kicks shall follow CIAC guidelines: a. First Round Penalty Kicks – Five players from each team kick once alternately or until the lead is insurmountable. b. Second Round Penalty Kicks – Five different players from each team kick once alternately or until the lead is insurmountable. c. If a tie still exists after two rounds of penalty kicks, repeat step a. and step b. if necessary. All COIN TOSSES CALLED BY HIGHER SEED |

TO CLARIFY YESTERDAY'S POST....... ......and to mirror dave vitale's email this morning..... Regular season ECC OT rules apply. That it, 2 ten minute sudden victory periods. the PK guidelines are the same. Below is the wording on the overtime and shoot-outs from our ECC bylaws. 2) In the case of a tie game at the conclusion of regulation, two 10-minute sudden victory overtime periods will be played. For the referees who will be working the ECC tournament games, the rules are the same as the state tournament rules. So, go to ciacsports.com and download the state tourney packet to use for both the conference and state tournaments. Perry |
